I only hope to prepare for the games peacefully (12^th April 2008, 08:28:14)

There had been a lot of news regarding my conflict with Coach Ji Xinpeng and it has caused my emotions to waver. Actually, it was because of some problems during the games that I had a chasm with him. I indeed lose my calmness and had argued with him. However, I can assure that I did not strike him. All of them who were in the stadium can be my witness. Those including Bao Chunlai and Chen Jin have seen that I did not strike him.

I don’t know why, but I suddenly feel that kinship is something that is unable to be expressed, but yet it’s something that is buried deep inside the heart. Maybe it’s because of the warmth I experienced when I was accompanying my wife that I felt this way. Home? What is the concept?

We sportspeople leave our homes when we are about 10 years old. Then we went on to live in bigger families; firstly in our provincial team, followed by the national youth squad, then the national second-tiered team, and lastly the national team. The route to that honour of representing the country in international tournaments is really no mean feat. So we say that we have been wanderers from a young age. The concept of a home, of siblings, in my mind remains the same as that when I was a child. But this time when I was home, the time I stayed there was the longest in twenty years; basically, I spent everyday there with my family - my wife, son, father, mother, uncles and aunties. I am really elated, I like this feeling a lot, my uncles and aunties treated me very well, so is this what they call kinship?

I will write till here today, don’t really know what to write. I will talk about how my future home will be like tomorrow.

I have returned to Jinjiang, felt a little weird having not written here for a few days. Today, I’m writing mainly to share my feelings about being a father.

I haven’t written for the past few days; I am too blessed. Everyday, I will look at my son, and then carry him - it feels really different. But there’s an additional responsibility, when I’m holding him, I am happy yet worried at the same time. Happy because the child looks so much like me ^_^, and worried because I have to take care of him and have another person whom I will miss in the future.

Everybody must want to look at my son’s photos; he’s a really handsome boy. About the photos, I still can’t everyone yet; you will have to wait until he turns a month old before I will slowly post them up for you all to enjoy. Also, I wish that everyone will be here with me to watch him grow up.

Have been under water for a long time now, after lots of determination, I decided to float up to take a breather.

During this time, because of lack of updates, I have been getting many criticisms. Many interferences recently like the change of weather, world peace, the mystery of the universe, internet connection speed taking a dive, meals, and while competing for the bathroom with my roommates, I lost 10 dollars. All these contributed greatly to my frequency of updating.
