Image"This is my training day. Whatever training you are doing try to get into a routine. It will help a lot. I wake around 7.30am and have a large breakfast (fruit with a couple pieces of toast or some cereal) I then make a plan and work out what I want to achieve in today’s training sessions.

There are few more recognizable figures in the badminton world today than Kim Dong Moon. Yet he is currently labouring in relative obscurity, far from his home country, his new wife, and also from the badminton spotlight. In fact, the two-time Olympic gold-medallist has been in Canada since January and has found that the Canadian badminton scene is helping him to shore up one weak point of his game: English.

Life after Athens

Kim effectively retired from international competition following his gold medal performance with Ha Tae-kwun in the Athens Olympics. He did, however, return to the national team briefly in May of 2005 to aid in Korea’s defence of its Sudirman Cup title. But 2005 was a turning point for Kim as he began looking overseas not for tournaments to compete in, but for opportunities to learn and coach.

ZHU LIN -The next super star PDF Print E-mail

ImageIn 2006, she was a gold medallist in Indonesia and Thailand Open, finished as the best young player in China national badminton team, she also won two runner-ups in Switzerland and South Korea Open. End of the year, she will represent China to attend the Doha Asian Games. Her name : Zhu Lin.

What?s Up and Coming in Malaysia PDF Print E-mail

LOOKING BACK - Settled with Bronze PDF Print E-mail
ImageDespite their heart-pounding loss, Saralee Thungthongkam and Sudket Prapakamol were rewarded for their second Bronze Medal in the World Championships. The Thai duo were given 300,000 Baht (8000 USD) from the National Sportsmen Progress Reward Fund during a presentation held back home on September 26th after their brilliant run in Madrid.
