CHINA - News from the squad

The Chinese squad was resting for a day in Beijing and took the opportunity to play a football game organised by their new sponsor Lining. Chen Jin and Lin Dan, on their end, published their post-Worlds memories online.

Li Yongbo and his squad recently took part in a football game organized by their sponsor, switching from badminton gear to football shoes and outfits. Li Yongbo himself went on the field to kick the ball, as did most of his squad.

Small talk about my feelings during the Worlds, thank you all for your support!!!

Hello everyone, I haven’t posted for a while. Later I will come more often to add new things because many people support me and back me up, and I’m very touched. Thank you.

The World Championships just ended, I have some regrets but I did my best because the adjustment of my situation was pretty good before these World Championships. Many people asked for my impression about the final. Honestly I really didn’t want to talk about that. My defeat was a logical result and I have to face it bravely. I’ll just share with you some of my thoughts. I was very eager to win this title, so I was pretty nervous on the court. Sometimes it looks like I could see the result, I created my football-lin

own defeat. As for Lin Dan’s heart, he’s in peace because he won the World Championships. He wasn’t nervous at all. That’s why in a badminton match, you have to be patient. That is to say your heart is the key to victory. Anyway, thanks to this match I have certainly gained self confidence. Moreover, I gained experience in a worldwide sports event, I think i can progressively improve.

Now I’m in Macau for the Macau Open. Even if competitions are honestly a bit tiring, I still have to play, hehe, I’ll just do my best and will be happy with what I’ll get!!!

Lin Dan : My unforgettable experience in Hyderabad

This time, the World Championship took place in Hyderabad and I could keep my title of world champion for the third time, I’m very happy. Maybe many of my badminton fans weren’t able to see me on TV, but anyway I would like to thank you all for your support and I hope that in my career, I will be able to keep on producing many more good results.

About this episode in Hyderabad, the thing I will never forget is the security issue. Indeed, everyday there were policemen with guns accompanying me wherever I go, I’ve never lived such an experience in my career of athlete. It was an unforgettable experience eventually.
I would like to thank the Chinese badminton fans who always support Chinese badminton team. Thank you! I will continue to do my best!
I will slowly tell you more about the Worlds Championships later once I go back home.
