NATIONALS ROUND-UP - 9 in a row for Clark PDF Print E-mail

With the break in international competition it was time for badminton professionals all over Europe to concentrate on their respective national titles with honours up for grabs in England, Denmark, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Ireland to name but a few. Most professionals would be somewhat content with one national title in their careers but this past week witnessed many historic milestones and none greater that Anthony Clark’s 9th men’s doubles title in a row in England.

KOREAN NATIONALS - Ha has Last Laugh PDF Print E-mail
Ha Jung Eun, playing in two finals for the third time this year on Korean soil, finally scored her doubles double, beating her former partner Kim Min Jung both times.  Bae Youn Joo continued her run of good form, taking her first national title while Park Sung Hwan managed his second.

CHINA LEAGUE - Inaugural Stage gives Top 8 Teams PDF Print E-mail

Super Dan, Lin Dan, current World Champion, helped his team, top seed 81 Chivas Badminton Club to qualify for the inaugural China League final, whose qualification stage was held on Sunday. The preliminary round was held in Guangzhou from 16 to 20 December. Lin Dan (photo) did not play in the final for 81 Chivas and the strong and powerful Jiangsu Yonex team beat them 3-0 to finish first in the qualification stage for next year’s league.
