World Champions Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl will not participate in their home event as Thomas Laybourn injured his knee during practise on Saturday. Denmark's best hopes in the mixed doubles now rely on second seeds Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen, runners-up at the recently concluded Yonex Japan Open.
