Hwang Hye Youn suffered an injury to one of her intercuneiform ligaments in her foot this week at the 90th Annual National Sports Festival held in Daejeon.   Although she has been struggling recently with other injuries, including one that kept her home from last year's Super Series Masters Finals,  National Team Head Coach Kim Joong Soo explained that this was a new injury that she sustained in her women's singles quarter-final against Yoon Yeo Sook on Thursday.

Kim said Hwang would definitely miss the last two Super Series events as her foot will be in a cast for a month and will have another month of rehabilitation after that.
