Zhou Mi, the current world number 2 women’s singles player, has withdrawn ahead of the French Open Super Series in Paris this week but otherwise there is a very strong field assembled at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.  The Chinese have brought a strong squad with Lin Dan taking centre stage in the men’s singles after missing the Denmark Open last week.
