SS FINALS - To be held in Kuala Terengganu

Paisan Rangsikitpho, Deputy President of the BWF, announced yesterday in Alor Setar, during the World Junior Championships, that the Super Series Masters Finals will be held in Kuala Terengganu, in northeastern Malaysia.  The top 8 shuttlers in each discipline, according to the Super Series rankings,  will qualify for the Super Series Masters Finals to be held from Dec 2-6. Paisan told Malaysian daily The Star, however that the precise venue would only be disclosed after an inspection of the proposed facilities. The finalisation of plans comes exactly one month before the kickoff of the event, which will start barely two weeks after the conclusion of the last of the twelve Super Series tournaments and will finish just days before the commencement of the badminton events at both the Southeast Asian Games and the East Asian Games.
