POLL - Two Championships every Year?
POLL - Two Championships every Year? PDF Print E-mail
Since 2005, the World Championships have been held every year (except for the Olympic year).  This move was originally conceived to fill the void left by the now-discontinued Grand Prix Finals.  Now the Super Series Masters Finals has become an annual event and it offers prize money on a historic scale.  If you were Lin Dan, you might appreciate the opportunity to rack up three world titles and then have a shot at a US$40,000 prize purse.  But is it good for the game?

Should the World Championships and the Super Series Masters Finals continue to co-exist?  Cast your vote on the latest Badzine Poll right on our homepage.

By the way, for those of you who voted on our last Badzine Poll, the results are in!  Badzine readers have nominated the following four events to be part of a Badminton Grand Slam:

1.  Indonesia Open
2.  All England Open
3.  Malaysia Open
4.  French Open
