We regret to announce the sudden passing away of our friend Jean Marie Bazimana, President of the Burundi Badminton Federation. Jean Marie was among the pioneers who introduced badminton in Burundi at the beginning of this century and latter in 2006 got Burundi to join the BWF and the BCA. Badminton was progressing well in Burundi and last September they successfully organised their first Olympic Solidarity Course in Badminton.  We thank our friend Jean Marie for all the good work he has done for badminton and present the sympathy of the badminton community to his family and to all the friends of badminton in Burundi
